ADCAPure clean-steam pressure reducing valves share stainless construction and sanitary connections, but their body arrangement, capacity and regulating range differ. The correct model depends on flow, available pressure, layout, turndown, cleanability and connection standard.
P161 angle-pattern PRV
The P161 is an angle-design, direct-acting, diaphragm-sensing regulator available with spring or dome loading. Valsteam lists DN15–DN50, ASME BPE/DIN/ISO clamp or tube-weld ends, 8 bar maximum upstream pressure, 180°C maximum operating temperature, a 0.3–5 bar regulating range and Kvs values from 1.3 to 13.
The official sheet highlights a clamped body, non-rising adjustment knob, optional low-pressure diaphragm, FDA/USP Class VI compliant seals, bar-stock construction, ultrasonic cleaning and optional CIP/SIP lock system.
P163 inline PRV
The P163 provides an inline rather than angle body. It covers DN15–DN50 with similar sanitary connection choices, 8 bar maximum upstream pressure and 180°C maximum temperature. Valsteam lists a 0.8–5 bar regulating range and Kvs 1.3–13. It is available with spring or dome loading.
P160G for larger sanitary lines
The P160G is an angle-design direct-acting regulator for 2.5 and 3 inch ASME BPE clamp connections. The current product page lists 8 bar maximum upstream pressure, 180°C maximum operating temperature, 1–4 bar regulation and Kvs 19.8.
P173 sanitary PRV
The direct-acting P173 covers DN32–DN50 with ASME BPE, DIN or ISO clamp ferrules or tube-weld ends. Valsteam lists 8 bar maximum upstream pressure, 180°C maximum operating temperature, 0.8–5 bar regulating range and Kvs 5.5 or 8.5.
Comparison
