The ADCAPure SRT10 is a compact stainless-steel disc check valve intended for clean steam, hot condensate and other compatible high-purity process fluids. It provides non-return protection without the bulky body and stagnant volume associated with some conventional valve types.
Official SRT10 range
Valsteam lists sizes from 1/2 to 4 inch, with ASME BPE clamp ferrules or tube-weld ends. Maximum operating pressure is 10 bar and maximum operating temperature is 200°C, subject to the chosen seal and complete pressure-temperature conditions. The published Kvs range extends from 2 to 169 across the size range.
Why sanitary construction matters
A valve in a pharmaceutical or food clean-utility system must be evaluated for more than pressure containment. Wetted material, internal finish, cleanability, drainability, elastomer compliance, dead legs, welding standard and documentation all influence suitability.
Valsteam’s SRT10 instructions state that assembly takes place in an ISO 14644-1 certified clean room and that components are cleaned and, where admissible, degreased and passivated under controlled procedures.
Cracking pressure and orientation
The differential pressure required to open a spring-loaded check valve changes with size, spring and orientation. Valsteam publishes approximate minimum opening pressures for upward, horizontal and downward flow. This matters on low-pressure clean-steam condensate lines: a valve with excessive cracking pressure can hold condensate upstream.
