Bellows Sealed Valves: Zero Leakage for Hazardous Steam Applications

What Are Bellows Sealed Valves?

Bellows sealed valves use a metallic bellows element to seal the stem instead of conventional packing glands — achieving zero fugitive emissions. They are the preferred choice for steam, toxic, corrosive, and high-value fluid applications.

PureSys India supplies GESTRA bellows seal valves and bellows seal gate & globe valves.

How They Work

A thin-walled stainless steel bellows is welded to both the stem and valve body. As the stem moves, the bellows compresses/extends — providing a hermetic seal with no dynamic contact with the process fluid. A secondary packing gland acts as a safety backup.

GESTRA Bellows Seal Valves

GESTRA bellows seal valves are engineered for steam and condensate systems:

  • Welded stainless steel bellows — guaranteed leak-free
  • Pressure ratings up to PN 40 and beyond
  • Temperature range up to 400°C
  • Globe and gate configurations available
  • Compliant with TA Luft, ISO 15848 fugitive emission standards
