Installation Support

On-site technical assistance from PureSys engineers to ensure steam equipment and valve systems are installed correctly, commissioned safely, and performing to specification from day one.

Why Professional Installation Matters

Steam engineering equipment — steam traps, control valves, pressure reducing valves, strainers, safety valves — is precision-engineered to perform within defined operating parameters. Incorrect installation is one of the most common causes of premature equipment failure, poor process performance, and safety incidents.

Issues such as reverse-flow installation, incorrect pipe orientation, missing isolation valves, improper bypass sizing, and inadequate condensate drainage are entirely preventable — but only if the installation is supervised or carried out by engineers who understand steam system behaviour.

PureSys provides on-site installation support so that equipment you purchase performs as intended, your teams are confident in the installation, and your warranty is protected.

Common Installation Errors We Prevent

  • Steam trap installed in wrong orientation or direction
  • Control valve installed without sufficient upstream straight run
  • PRV installed without downstream safety valve or relief
  • Strainer missing before control valve or steam trap
  • No isolation valves provided for maintenance access
  • Condensate drain point missing on steam main low points

What Our Installation Support Covers

We offer support at every stage of the installation process — from design review before work begins to final commissioning sign-off.

Pre-Installation Review

Review the installation drawings against equipment datasheets and P&ID requirements. Identify any design conflicts, access issues, or missing components before work begins on site.

On-Site Supervision

PureSys engineer present during installation to direct fitters, verify orientation and torque, check supporting pipework alignment, and sign off at each stage of the installation procedure.

Commissioning & Start-Up

Controlled first-steam procedure — slow warm-up, initial set-point verification, leak check, functional test of all control and isolation elements, and baseline performance measurement.

Operator Training

Brief the operating team on correct operation, safe shutdown procedures, routine maintenance checks, and how to identify early signs of equipment malfunction.

Documentation

Provide as-installed documentation including completed commissioning record, equipment settings sheet, and maintenance schedule recommendation for plant records.

Troubleshooting Support

If a problem is identified in the weeks following installation, PureSys engineers can return to site to diagnose and resolve the issue at no additional charge within the support period.

How to Engage

Installation support is available as a standalone service or as part of a product supply package. We recommend discussing your project at the point of ordering so we can plan engineer availability around your plant shutdown or installation window.

Included with Supply Contracts

For larger supply contracts, installation support can be included in the package price. Ask your PureSys account manager when requesting a quote.

Standalone Service

If you have already purchased equipment from another source and need commissioning support, we offer standalone installation assistance on a day-rate basis for most standard steam equipment types.
